A new website for a new ministry. “So much to do so little time.” We are only on this world for a limited time; will it be over today, tomorrow, next week, or next year? We really have no idea when our time on earth will be up, so we have to make the most of it. What does that mean to you, “Make the Most of It?”
Most people are trying to accumulate things, have the best house or car, or sock a lot of money away that they may never spend but work their life away to earn? Perhaps you are trying to make a name for yourself in the community or in your job. Are you stepping on top of others to get where you think you want to go?
Let me say this, “Been There, Done That, Got A T-shirt.” And those T-shirt have become rags now, but in reality that was all they ever were.
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. (1 John 2:15-17 ESV)
It’s all about ‘Love”. What is it that you love? What do you put before God in your life? Can you give up that entertainment system that you spend so much time with? Do you skip Sunday morning church service so you can have a nice manicured lawn so it looks better than your neighbor?
The Bible says “the world is passing away along with its desires” and elsewhere it says we will not know the hour or day of Jesus’ return (Matthew 24:36). So while we are focused on your favorite TV shows, our time is really passing us by and we are oblivious to our situation. Are you doing the “will of God”?
As I said in the beginning “So much to do, so little time.”
